We are delighted to offer students the opportunity to dance solos, duets, trios and quartets in our Annual Choreography Showcase and our year end production, SHOWTIME! This program is offered to Level 4 and up dancers.
Participating in a solo, duet, trio, or quartet is an amazing opportunity, but requires dedication from parents and students alike. Choreography will be taught and cleaned during the hours covered in the package and students will be expected to practice on their own or with further private lessons not included in the package to master and clean their routines.
Students in Level 4 are eligible for a duet, trio or quartet choreographed by SLAD faculty and may participate in up to one piece. Students in Level 5 are eligible for a solo, duet, trio or quartet choreographed by SLAD faculty and may participate in up to 2 pieces. Students in levels 6&7 are eligible for a solo, duet, trio, quartet choreographed by SLAD faculty or self choreographed, and may participate in up to 3 pieces.
Students electing to self-choreograph (Level 6&7 only) will be under the guidance of a SLAD faculty member, who will work with the student(s) to educate him/her in the choreographic process, work with the student to select appropriate movement, and encourage and challenge the student to reach his or her goals.
